SVP and General Manager, Virtual Payments
Jim Pratt is Senior Vice President and General Manager of WEX’s Virtual Payments division. Since joining WEX in 1998, Jim has been instrumental in fostering the growth of the virtual payments solution from its pioneer travel market launch in North America in 2000 to today’s multi-industry, global presence. He has led the building of dynamic teams and partnerships across the globe, enabling WEX to have local presence, knowledge and relationships in vital markets. With more than 30 years of experience in information technology and the payments industry, Jim has a passion for affecting change through innovation and pushing the boundaries of technology to simplify service.
Prior to joining WEX, Jim spent 10 years with Digital Equipment Corporation in various sales and management positions and spent several years consulting in the technology sector. Jim serves on the MasterCard Advisory Board and the Commercial Payments International Global Advisory Board.
Commercial Director Europe, Virtual Payments and Site Leader
Ian joined WEX Europe in October 2013 with an extensive background in the technology and financial services sectors including roles at Worldline, Atos and Oxygen Finance. During this time Ian worked with some of Europe’s largest retailers, travel suppliers and automotive companies gaining a detailed understanding of B2B payments including supply chain finance and open and closed loop card programmes.
Ian leads the go to market activity for WEX in Europe focusing on the execution of strategy to ensure continued and accelerated growth in this highly important region. Ian plays a key role in shaping the products and services offered by WEX working closely with the highly experienced team of payments experts who are heavily engaged with customers, partners and industry bodies to ensure that WEX continues to provide measurable and lasting value to the market.
Director of Client Engagement, Travel
Julie joined WEX Europe in June 2013 with a background in account and relationship management spanning the travel, insurance and financial services industry.
With several positions with a global remit under her belt, Julie has a wealth of experience in managing and developing key strategic accounts, owning global relationships and excels in engaging with clients and understanding their needs. She currently is the Head of Relationship Management – a team which looks after WEX Europe’s client base both in the UK and across Europe.
Manager, Technical Product Management
Nick joined WEX in 2014 and manages the European Product Development team with a focus on enhancing the WEX product portfolio through analysis and understanding of target markets, market trends, new technologies, customer business issues and the competitive environment.
Previously, Nick was at MoneyGram International for 10 years and was responsible delivering solutions to major banks and post offices globally, including the UK Post Office, UBA, Carrefour, Worri and Tesco Bank. Nick took the lead in rolling out of a retail POS system to support the growth of MoneyGram’s retail network across Europe. Nick has also held roles for Sainsbury’s and ICA supermarkets implementing core payment systems, as well as with Logica rolling out payment solutions to banks in Saudi, Dubai and Jordan.
